A Quick Club Update + Exciting Things To Come
3/11/2025

Dear Pickleballers,

We wanted to take a moment to share an update on the club, our vision, and the exciting things happening ahead.

As many of you are aware, over the past month, Pickleball operations have been brought fully back in-house under the management of Discover Sports Group — and our goal is simple: to create the best possible experience for you, our players and community.

Your Experience Comes First

Our mission is to make every session fun, welcoming, and inspiring — whether you’re stepping onto the court for the first time or pushing your game to the next level. We’ve kept the schedule consistent while we explore new ways to expand our programs and provide more opportunities to play - of which we see a lot

In time, we’ll be introducing a full player pathway that links every level of the club — creating a seamless, one-club community, this is really important to us.

Welcoming AB (Alex)

You will have noticed our biggest addition, AB (Alex). Alex has been part of the Discover team for over a decade and brings huge experience in coaching, management, and community building.

Community is at the heart of everything we do — and Alex’s warmth, energy, and genuine passion for people make her the perfect fit to help grow and nurture this culture. You’ll see her more and more around the courts, and we're very fortunate to have her at the heart of your community.

Session Credits

We’re aware there was a short delay in re-issuing credits from Tuesday’s washout — thank you for your patience. Credits have been re-loaded, and now that our systems are fully integrated, we’ll ensure any future weather-related adjustments are handled quickly and smoothly.

Court Upgrades

We’re also thrilled to share some exciting facility news. Our plan has always been to resurface the existing courts, but as part of this next stage, we’ll also be adding four brand-new courts, taking us to 12 courts total. Even better, we’re working towards ultimately enclosing the entire facility — meaning you’ll be able to play pickleball year-round, rain or shine.

These upgrades involve a lot of moving parts, and while our aim is to complete the court resurfacing and additional courts by the end of January, we’re mindful that timelines can shift based on contractors and weather. We’ll keep everyone updated and do our best to minimise any disruption to play.

A Big Thank You

We can’t thank you enough for the enthusiasm, energy, and positivity you bring every week. We're really excited about what's to come and creating the home of Pickleball in the Hunter with you all.

See you on court,
The Discover Sports Group Team
